Owned and operated by Edward Mungai Ngugi, Mercy Estate is home to a number of crops, dairy cows, and of course, coffee. But the growth of neighbouring Nairobi has resulted in rapid redevelopment throughout Kiambu and many of the large estates have already been converted to new housing developments. Coffee at Mercy Estate is hand-sorted, before being fermented for 12-36 hours and then sun-dried on raised beds for roughly 14 days.
